Game Bar is a long running business in Thong Nai Pan Yai. It is a favorite haunt for many returnees to the beach. It is located just past the 7-11 on the main road. There has always been an inviting 'old skool' feeling to the bar. The management has now improved the business by creating more outdoor seating and adding a better selection to the menu.
During the day Game Bar is a good breakfast and lunch spot. There are a few good Western menu options such as savory ham and eggs on toast, baguettes and a variety of pastas. They also have the usual Thai dishes such as Phad Thai. You can eat inside in the bar or you can enjoy the new outdoor café set up. The new outdoor seating area makes Game Bar a good place to stop for a coffee and a snack.
Nightlife in Thong Nai Pan Yai wouldn’t be the same without the Game Bar. They have a small dance floor and a DJ set up. There is seating at the bar as well as comfortable booths with pillow-covered mat seating. They usually have a party night scheduled twice a week on Tuesday and Friday. During busy times on the beach the parties attract lots of people who invariably get in the mood with buckets and dancing.
A small Singha beer is 90 THB, a large Singha beer is 150 THB and a cocktail is 180 THB
The parties go on to the early hours of the morning. The music ranges from pop and hip hop to tech / house and the harder progressive sound pioneered at the Full Moon Party.
Party dates move around if the weekly bash falls on a Buddha Day or the Full Moon Party. It is best to ask around if you have just arrived in Thong Nai Pan Yai to find out the date for the next party.
There is also a pool table in Game Bar.
On non-party nights there is a relaxed atmosphere at the bar. They also show live sports. Game Bar is a good spot to catch a Premier League game.
Finally, Game Bar has opened up a shop next door selling mostly clothing and fashion accessories.
